Whistle-Free Stainless Steel Flex Gas Lines
Corrugated stainless steel flex lines designed for smooth, quiet gas flow with reduced turbulence and no whistling. Ideal for short internal connections between key valve, ignition system, and burner inside fire tables.

Available in 24", 36", and 48" lengths. Longer lengths available upon request.

Gas Line Sizing Guidelines (Short Runs vs. Main Supply Lines)
General reference based on NFPA 54 National Fuel Gas Code practices. These guidelines help distinguish between short internal flex connections and longer main supply piping.

Short Runs (Inside Fire Table | Flex Lines):
Typically 2 to 10 ft total run

1/2" Flex Line:
• Up to ~150,000 BTU at 2–5 ft
• ~120,000–140,000 BTU at 5–10 ft

3/4" Flex Line:
• Up to ~300,000 BTU at 2–5 ft
• ~250,000–280,000 BTU at 5–10 ft

These short runs are where flex lines are most effective, delivering full burner performance with minimal pressure loss.

Long Runs (Main Gas Supply | Hard Pipe):
Typically 20 ft to 100+ ft from gas source to fire feature

1/2" Hard Pipe:
• ~150,000 BTU at very short runs under 10 ft
• ~90,000–120,000 BTU at 20–30 ft
• ~60,000–80,000 BTU at 50+ ft

3/4" Hard Pipe:
• ~300,000 BTU at very short runs under 10 ft
• ~200,000–250,000 BTU at 20–30 ft
• ~150,000–180,000 BTU at 50+ ft

Longer runs introduce pressure drop, which reduces available BTU output. This is why main supply lines are often upsized before transitioning to a shorter flex connection at the appliance.

Key Notes:
• Flex lines are intended for short, final connections only
• Main gas supply should be sized using rigid piping for distance and capacity
• Shorter runs allow higher BTU delivery and better flame performance
• Values assume standard residential pressures (natural gas ~7" WC, propane ~11" WC)
• Final sizing must be verified by a licensed gas professional to meet local code
