Based on the American Fire Products estimating factors: ordinary lava rock 0.026 lb/in³; tumbled lava stone and fire glass 0.052 lb/in³. Uses the gross fill volume before component displacement. For curved linear openings, use the overall opening length and width as a rectangle.

The 2.5-inch default is a planning depth. Follow the supplied burner instructions for the actual media depth and placement.
