How to Choose an Ignition

Choosing an ignition depends on ease of use, safety, power source, and budget.

Ignition Types & Comparison:

Match Lit (Manual)

• How it works: Open gas valve & ignite with a match/lighter.
• Power: None
• Pros: Simple, reliable, no wiring.
• Cons: No flame sensing, manual control.

Flame Sense with Spark Ignition

• How it works: Manually or push-button spark ignite, flame sensor shuts off gas if no flame.
• Power: Battery
• Pros: Safer than match-lit, no external power needed. Push-button option.
• Cons: Still requires manual lighting for the manual option.

Plug & Play Electronic (Low Voltage 24V DC) - Bluetooth and Wifi app compatible.

• How it works: Auto ignites with 24V DC, detects flame, auto shut-off.
• Power: 24V DC
• Pros: Safe, integrates with automation.
• Cons: Requires 120v wiring & transformer for 24v conversion.

Plug & Play Electronic (110/120v)

• How it works: Plug into outlet, ignite via switch/remote.
• Power: Standard outlet

10-Year Limited Warranty for Modofire Products

Warranty Overview

Modofire offers a 10-Year Limited Warranty to the original purchaser of our fire pits and tables. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for ten years from the date of purchase.

General Warranty Guidelines

If a Modofire product exhibits defects in materials or workmanship during the warranty period, and when used according to our Cleaning and Care Instructions, Modofire will provide the necessary parts to repair or replace the defective item.

What’s Covered:

• Defects in materials and workmanship for products used as intended.
• Repairs or replacements for qualifying defects.

What’s Not Covered:

• Misuse, abuse, improper installation, or use for unintended purposes.
• Damage caused by accidents, natural disasters, or environmental factors.
• Custom-made or made-to-order products are not covered for buyer’s remorse or artistic variations.
• Costs associated with removal, installation, or transportation of the defective product.

Burners & Electronics Coverage

• Burners: Our cut/cast/machined brass and stainless steel burners come with a 5-year warranty. However, the finish on the burners is not covered for the full five-year duration.
• Electronics: The electronic components of our fire pits and tables are covered by a 3-year warranty.

Finish Warranty

Modofire fire pits and tables are finished with premium exterior-grade coatings. Over time, natural color changes due to light and environmental factors may occur, which are not covered under this warranty.

Modofire warrants that the finish is free from defects such as flaking, peeling, cracking, or significant discoloration for a period of three years from the date of purchase, under normal use.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

To initiate a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

1. Contact Modofire Customer Support at [email address].
2. Provide your proof of purchase, a description of the defect, and photographs if applicable.
3. Modofire will evaluate your claim and provide instructions for repair or replacement.

Freight Costs associated with warranty claims will be covered by Modofire, at our discretion.

Custom and Artistic Products

Custom and artistic products are uniquely crafted by our skilled artisans. Due to the nature of these items, slight variations in color, texture, or shape may occur. These differences are not considered defects, and warranty claims for custom products will not be accepted for buyer's remorse.

Warranty Limitations

This warranty is exclusive to Modofire and replaces all other warranties, whether expressed or implied. Modofire is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the installation, use, or failure of our products.

Certain jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

Cleaning & Care Instructions

Proper care and maintenance are essential to preserving the longevity of your fire pits and tables. For more detailed care instructions, please refer to our Cleaning and Care Guide or contact your dealer.

Return and Cancellation Policy:

At Modofire, we value your satisfaction and aim to provide a clear and fair return and cancellation process.

Order Cancellation:

• You may cancel your order within 72 hours of placing it for a full refund, with no penalties.
• After 72 hours, if your order has not yet shipped, a 6% administration fee will be applied to the cancellation and payment cancellation fees.
• Custom-made or made-to-order products that have gone into production, as well as orders that have already shipped, cannot be cancelled.

Return Policy:

We offer a 30-day return policy for eligible non-custom products. To qualify for a return, the product must be clean, unused, and in its original packaging. Please initiate your return by contacting us within 30 days of delivery to receive a Return Authorization Number (RAN).

Please note the following exceptions to our return policy:

• Custom-made or made-to-order products are non-returnable.
• One-of-a-kind products, products on sale, used products, or products missing their original packaging are not eligible for return.

Return Conditions:

• A 12% restocking fee will be charged on all returned items.
• Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
• Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

Custom and Artistic Products:

Custom and artistic products are uniquely crafted by our skilled artisans. Due to their handmade nature, slight variations in color, texture, or shape may occur. These differences are not considered defects, and as such, returns or refunds for custom and artistic products will not be accepted.

Exceptional Circumstances:

In rare cases, we may cancel an order due to unforeseen events such as production delays, supplier issues, or Acts of God. In such instances, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.
